Cape & Islands Renewable Energy Collaborative (CIRenew) and the Social Justice Committee at First Parish Brewster are cosponsoring a candidate forum on Tuesday, October 14 beginning at 7 pm. The event will be held at the Brewster Meeting House in the sanctuary at First Parish Brewster, 1969 Main Street (Route 6A) in Brewster. The forum is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served.
“Voting Energy 2014” continues a series kicked off by CIRenew in 2008. This moderated debate will focus on the energy and environmental positions of the two candidates for the office of Barnstable County Commissioner, Leo Cakounes and Mark Forest.
In addition, Jason Klump and Madhavi Venkatesan, candidates for Brewster’s seat in the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates, will participate. Candidates will be asked prepared questions addressing topics relating to energy and climate change, water and wastewater, transportation, and other key issues. Members of the public will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
